Leadership & Service

Bringing people together, creating opportunities, and turning ideas into sustained community action.

My most meaningful leadership experiences have involved building something with others, whether representing students, organizing fundraisers, creating a stage for young performers, or teaching in a government school. Across these roles, I have learned to listen, coordinate, communicate clearly, and stay committed beyond a single event.

Student Council and School Fundraising Elected Vice President, Mahindra International School

As Student Council Vice President, I represent the student body and work with students and faculty on school-wide initiatives, events, and community priorities.

My involvement in school fundraising began well before the role. Over several years, I have proactively organized recurring talent shows, bake sales, and other campaigns supporting humanitarian, educational, and environmental causes. This has involved developing the idea, securing permissions, coordinating students, promoting the event, and following through on execution.

  • Student representation - Bringing student perspectives into school discussions.
  • Sustained fundraising - Initiating community campaigns over several years.
  • End-to-end execution - Planning, permissions, promotion, and participation.

Beyond the Spotlight

An interschool performing-arts platform created to give young performers a stage while supporting a meaningful cause.

I co-founded Beyond the Spotlight with a four-student team to create an inclusive showcase for students in Grades 6–12. The event brought together 65 performers from four Pune schools across theatre, music, and dance.

We led the initiative from concept to execution, including outreach to schools and participants, promotion, scheduling, coordination, and event production. Funds raised through the showcase supported Pune’s Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre, which provides rehabilitation for injured service personnel.

  • 65 performers - Across theatre, music, and dance.
  • 4 Pune schools - Connected through one student-led event.
  • 4-student founding team - Leading planning and execution.
  • Community beneficiary - Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre.

As Science Student Lead, I helped plan sessions with teachers and laboratory staff and coordinated fellow student volunteers. During the programme, students strengthened their confidence and subject understanding, with average report-card marks improving by approximately 15%.

  • Weekly volunteering - Sustained direct engagement with students.
